We started Lens of Youth because we saw how often individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families are misunderstood, overlooked, or left without a voice. Too often, their unique stories and talents go unseen. Lens of Youth was created to change that.

Through photography, art, and storytelling, our youth-led nonprofit documents and shares the real experiences of the IDD community. We advocate for greater understanding, compassion, and inclusion—helping families feel seen, supported, and valued. By using “our lens,” we not only capture images but also open perspectives, inspiring a community where differences are respected and every story matters.
