Lens of Youth creates meaningful programs to connect directly with families affected by developmental disabilities. Their stories deserve to be heard and understood, and we strive to advocate on their behalf. Through our lens, we capture precious moments that celebrate their lives and preserve memories to be cherished forever.
Misunderstood Moments

Many developmental disabilities are not immediately visible, and the behaviors associated with them are often misunderstood by those unfamiliar with the experiences of affected individuals. This program seeks to raise awareness, advocate for greater understanding, reduce stigma, and foster a more unified and inclusive community by sharing anonymous real-life stories. Each story – contributed by individuals with disabilities or those who have witnessed their experiences – will be accompanied by a thoughtfully created artistic illustration, bringing their voices and perspectives to life. The content will be exhibited publicly and shared online, inspiring empathy, connection, and lasting change within the broader community.
We Care, We Capture

Lens of Youth is honored to offer FREE graduation photo sessions to LRC II students, capturing the unique spirit of each senior as they reach this important milestone. We believe every student deserves the chance to celebrate and remember this transformative stage, reflecting their achievements and individuality. These photos aren’t just pictures — they’re cherished memories for families and a way to honor each student’s journey and potential.
Interviews

Lens of Youth engages in interviews with families, capturing their unique journeys in nurturing individuals with developmental disabilities. We also conduct interviews with organizations that provide assistance to these families. Our objective is to share their narratives to increase social awareness and collecting valuable information to assist families in managing their daily challenges.
The Inclusive Circle Partnership

Lens of Youth is proud to support the Inclusive Circle, a group of children with developmental disabilities, as they step into the heart of community life. At the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) event, our collaborative Photo Booth gives them the opportunity to engage, connect, and serve their community. This project celebrates inclusion, empowering these amazing young individuals to share their talents, make memories, and showcase the power of belonging.
ICAN Summerfest Free Photo Session

Lens of Youth is honored to provide family photo sessions at ICAN Summerfest to capture the warmth and joy of togetherness. Through these portraits, we celebrate each family’s unique bond.
Themed Event

Lens of Youth organizes themed events throughout the year, creating opportunities for families supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to come together, socialize, and build connections through arts and music.
